Oak End Tables

Oak End Tables- top dim. (16" dia.x 29" tall)

An original design made to hold 2 very tall (4') Victorian glass lamps.  Made from old rough-sawn tongue & groove oak flooring that I had laying around for some "unknown future purpose" as woodworkers tend to do.  The legs are three-ply laminated oak strips bent & doweled.  The bottom shelves are mortised in several inches to accept a square oak dowel which continues through the legs and ends with a four-sided bevel.
The legs attach to the top by a glued mortise which produces a very stable piece.  Both shelves are banded by oak veneer which I cut and wrapped around them.
